NEED A LIFT?... Hot Beauty by Holly Doss

One of my best friend's has very fine hair similar to Victoria Beckham's. In fact, it is cut the same way and has that same little lift at the crown. I asked her recently how her hair can be that fine and stay so full, messy, and fabulous for hours, so she brought over Aveda's 'Hair Potion' texturizing powder and did a little demonstration.

So she started with her limp, fine hair and began sprinkling the powder at the roots. Then with a lot of force, ran her fingers back and forth at scalp, the powder turned to liquid, and she flipped over one good '80's hair' time, and poof- she looked like Johnny Rzeznik/Criss Angel/both Beckhams/you get the picture. I grabbed that stuff and repeated the process, and let's just say, "I would have kissed me"!

STYLE STAR: KATE BECKINSALE Hot Couture by Jeanette Chivvis

Fresh faced, Chic Hair,Perfect Bod and perfect style!! Those are some of the things that come to mind while seeing Kate Beckinsale dashing around la la land this past week. I love the new do and the hot red dress. I don't know what it is with FOP (Friends of POSH) but for some reason these women are all looking fantabulous!!! Maybe they are sharing the same stylist....whatever it is....IT WORKS!!

Week In Review Hot Tube by Jon Unger & Erin Gaughan: The Couch

After holding our breath for three months which of course not only made us blue in the face but somewhat brain damaged we can now breathe again because the writer's strike is over! Woo! Soon we will be back to writing about the Office, 30 Rock, Ugly Betty, maybe Grey's Anatomy (you have been put on notice Shondra step it up or the couch is out!). But here is what caught our eyes this week and what you should watch next week or just Sunday, Sunday, Sunday!


Nip Tuck
At first we had no idea why the previously on Nip/Tuck was so heavy on Matt's past relationships but then about 45 minutes into it it all made sense. Matt has fallen for his burn victim life coach and is even learning Hebrew for her, but the she dumps him. He then bounces quickly to one of Christian's patients who had a facial birth remark removed. Matt is instantly in love again until his new love interest tells him what a great week she has had, she met her birth father, got plastic surgery, and then lost her virginity. Wait met your birth father? Uh Matt, you just fucked your sister. Sane people would walk away, not Matt he googles other couples who are siblings and in love. Sex is best with the one you love I guess. Julia finally finds out that mercury posioning is the reason for her sickness and also finally figures out it is Eden who is doing it. One question exactly how long does fruit cake last? The show ends with Eden pulling a gun on Julia and a shot fired. Next week we get to see this fall out and it is also the season finale. Normally we would be upset by this, but we are getting our other scripted shows back soon, so we will deal.

Lost
Sometimes we don't know whether all of you have seen this addictive piece of mystery every week. Therefore, considering the SHOCKER that unfolded Wednesday (honestly, raise your hand if you saw that coming....exactly. we see ZILCH), we're gonna play it a bit lowkey with the recap. Who knew Sayid could have such a compelling flash forward? And quote us on this, either Sawyer or Claire will be dead by the end of this season. We just get a feeling. Plus, what does Claire do? Stand there cooing with her baby awaiting the moment that Ben and company continue experiments on her pregnancy and why it survived.

Posh was shopping at FAO SCHWARTZ with her son rockin the neckerchief and Katie Holmes was spotted on the red carpet at a LACMA event. I am a collector of vintage scarves from years ago....so I LOVE ME SOME SCARVES!!!! Up until now, we have seen the long scarves just wore open and long or tied to your HERMES' bag....but the neckerchief is a scarf that is tied around the neck and off to the right or left side. They can be short or long....but must be tied. Best places to find scarfs.....Shabon on Beverly Blvd, Wasteland on Melrose or Barney's CO-OP in LA.

I was at Fred Segal yesterday, one of THE Hottest Shops in Hollywood and I SCORED big time! For those of you who don't know if you want to do some fabulous shopping...with celebrities, have a great lunch...with celebrities and go into debt by buying a single blouse...without the bank account of a celebrity's, this is the place for you!

Seriously, this place is SO hot (You can shop for $20 make-up or an $8,000 dress) EVERYBODY goes there: Reese Witherspoon, Katie Holmes, Eric Dane, Winona Ryder (not stealing), Eva Longoria, Jennifer Aniston, George Clooney, Nicole Kidman...even Madonna, are ALL fans! (As a matter of fact Sara Gilbert was getting out of her car while I was parking and Parker Posey had just finished lunch as we walked in for coffee.)

Anyway, once a year they have THE SALE which starts off as any ‘ol normal sale and then ends up as a LUNATIC sale with things being almost 90% off. Two weeks ago they had a 50% Sale and then last week they had their 2/3% off Sale. Now being the mega shopper that I am, I did a lap throughout the store and yea, though I found a T-Shirt that I loved and it was $702! (SEVEN HUNDRED AND TWO DOLLARS FOR A T-SHIRT PEOPLE!?) they STILL HAVE pieces 50% OFF AND IF YOU BUY 5 OR MORE, YOUR ENTIRE PURCHASE IS 2/3'S OFF!

Which leads me to my headline. I picked up a bunch of designer labels, including but not limited to Theory and Robert Graham, AND SAVED ALMOST $600!

And you thought we were done with the Spice Girls. Check out this clip of the girls singing LIVE on the popular British TV show "Strictly Come Dancing." In case you were in doubt, as I was, they actually DO let Posh sing.

The Spice Girls Are Back! Hot Tunes by Corey Moore

Michael and I went to the Spice Girls Reunion Tour last night at the Staples Center here in L.A, and what a total blast. Posh, Scary, Ginger, Sporty & Baby are all grown up. First off, the gals look hot as ever, plus the costumes designed by Roberto Cavalli were stunning! (My fav was an all glitter Union Jack mini dress worn by Ginger Spice.) Now let's be real, if these girls weren't the pop cultural phenomenon that they are then this concert would be all smoke, mirrors and big video screens. However, considering they have not been together since they took the world by storm a decade ago, it's pretty mind blowing to see them live on stage.

Spice Mommas now and Spice Girls back in the day...

Baby Spice looks as beautiful as ever (just a little more plump). Fresh off of Dancing With the Stars, Scary Spice is still into the leopard print/animal motif. Sporty, poor Sporty Spice, always wearing "pants" (you draw your own conclusions) has the best vocal chops as always. Ginger (who I'm very glad is back with the girls) looks fit as hell but seemed to be floundering around the stage in a cry for audience attention. She did a totally fun rendition of "It's Raining Men" which rocked the house though. And Posh, what can we say....they still don't let her sing. She poses better than anyone I've ever seen. But who really cares, she's one of the most famous women in the world at the moment, and the crowd squealed every time she was featured on stage. It goes without saying that she looked A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! That girl could wear a garbage bag and look hot. Right before the concert started Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, Beckham and the kids got the crowd screaming as they waved from the sky box. One man even hung over the balcony to get a glimpse of the famous friends. It's surreal how famous these people are. Also spotted in the crowd were Paula Abdul and LC (Lauren Conrad) of The Hills. The minute I heard "Spice Up Your Life" I was immediately flooded with fond memories of myself ten years ago as I stood in line for the opening night of Spice World the Movie.

I think I had a permanent smile on my face for the entire two hours. In my opinion it was worth every penny spent to see these girls, cause I have a feeling it's never gonna happen again. If you haven't gotten ahold of a ticket yet, good luck. They're sold out everywhere. (Although a friend of mine did get a scalped ticket out front tonight.) It's time to dig out that Spice Girls Karaoke CD I have (yes I really do have one), and my VHS Tape of Spice World the Movie and invite a few friends over. Did I really just say that? To sum it all up, way fun, way fab...girl power still rocks.

MERRY GO BROWN... Hot Beauty by Holly Doss

So the 'Posh' bob is still super hot in Hollywood, however, warmer, more subtle tones of brown are a great way to soften the severeness of the cut. Have your stylist darken your hair all over first and then go back and add honey and caramel highlights on the top.

I suggest using a color shampoo to keep your lights from turning brassy. My favorite is Rene Furterer's 'Okara Protect Color Protective Radiance Shampoo', available at Sephora or sephora.com for $23.00.
