Dear Paris,
You strange, haunting creature. I hear you've ordered a Yukon Hybrid as a gift to yourself for your 27th birthday. I totally respect your righteous effort. But a GMC Yukon Hybrid? Really? Um, why?

I love hybrids. Luv 'em. Prius, even Civic. 60 mpg city driving. But the Yukon gets, what, 20 mpg city driving? Hey, why not. That's up about 20 mpg from what it was.

But what does that do for the environment? For our foreign oil dependency? For your wallet? Scratch that. Were you perhaps misguidedly trying to support that great pillar of American ingenuity General Motors? The company that smashed their successful EV1 electric car (Literally. Rent Who Killed the Electric Car? in favor of the ridiculous gas-guzzling Hummer? Why not just buy a regular SUV and say you'll only drive it half as much? I don't get it. I can't figure it out, Paris. You mystify me.

BIG 80's dynasty jewels are the accessories du jour on the red carpets lately....like the ones Eva Longoria rocked at the sag awards. (I think i saw the same ones on Joan Collins in Dynasty in 1984) We were so blinded by Paris Hilton's necklace and earrings at the premiere of "HOTTIE AND THE NOTTIE" that we were seeing spots all night. HIH Alum Sara Ramirez was sporting some big ice braclets at the SAG AWARDS..........OSCAR PREDICTION: ICE Accessories in all forms and the BIGGER the BETTER!!!!!

It is dead of winter and we are breaking all of PETA'S rules in hollywood. The days of no one being caught dead in real fur are gone!!!! Fur is back with a vengence, whether we like it or not. We started to see this in Paris where Givenchy and Dior showed fur on the runways for Fall/Winter 2008. Now it is a reality....Last night we caught Paris in a white fur coat leaving Benny Medina's (uber-manager to the stars) Party. Mischa Barton was just seen on friday at the airport with a brown fox coat in hand. Lindsay was spotted outside a NY bar last night in a tan mink coat. Kate Hudson (very surprising) was seen at Paris Fashion week in a white rabbit fur trench coat. So break out your mom's rabbit or fox coats from the 80's or your granmothers mink stole and join the Pro-fur revolution!!! Atleast if it is vintage it is recycled!!!!

I was at Fred Segal yesterday, one of THE Hottest Shops in Hollywood and I SCORED big time! For those of you who don't know if you want to do some fabulous shopping...with celebrities, have a great lunch...with celebrities and go into debt by buying a single blouse...without the bank account of a celebrity's, this is the place for you!

Seriously, this place is SO hot (You can shop for $20 make-up or an $8,000 dress) EVERYBODY goes there: Reese Witherspoon, Katie Holmes, Eric Dane, Winona Ryder (not stealing), Eva Longoria, Jennifer Aniston, George Clooney, Nicole Kidman...even Madonna, are ALL fans! (As a matter of fact Sara Gilbert was getting out of her car while I was parking and Parker Posey had just finished lunch as we walked in for coffee.)

Anyway, once a year they have THE SALE which starts off as any ‘ol normal sale and then ends up as a LUNATIC sale with things being almost 90% off. Two weeks ago they had a 50% Sale and then last week they had their 2/3% off Sale. Now being the mega shopper that I am, I did a lap throughout the store and yea, though I found a T-Shirt that I loved and it was $702! (SEVEN HUNDRED AND TWO DOLLARS FOR A T-SHIRT PEOPLE!?) they STILL HAVE pieces 50% OFF AND IF YOU BUY 5 OR MORE, YOUR ENTIRE PURCHASE IS 2/3'S OFF!

Which leads me to my headline. I picked up a bunch of designer labels, including but not limited to Theory and Robert Graham, AND SAVED ALMOST $600!

I guess what I'm saying is whether it's Herve Leger you want or something funky and original you crave, Fred Segal is the place to go! After all, Fred Segal is to hot celebrity shopping as The Ivy is to hot celebrity eating... but with sales.

So, I am not one of the many gay men on this planet who is blessed with the best of fashion senses. I often rely on my friends and loved ones to dress me appropriately. So it will not be often that I write about a clothing boutique.

The hot and sexy sugarmommas Kelley West and celebrity coach Jesse Brune.

Sugar on La Brea is special to me and it’s not because of the clothes that you find inside. Sure they dress Paris and Nikki Hilton, the cast of ‘High School Musical”, Scarlet Johansson, the Duff Sisters, The Desperate House-wives (to name only a few)… but the real treasure (and I am speaking only for the men in the house) is that in addition to selling high end garments, the store also provides the most delicious freakin’ cupcakes I have ever had. Ranging in flavor from blueberry pancake to peanut butter and jelly these cupcakes are pure evil in bite size form. Forget the leading cupcake stores you can find scattered all over Beverly Hills, Sugar on LaBrea is where it’s at.

This place is brilliant because it’s a clothing boutique that a young lady’s beau will actually WANT to go to.
The icing on the cake of this fabulous find is the owners of the store. Kelley West and Jeanette Chivvis (the cupcakes are hand made by Jeanette’s loving husband David) are the sweetest imports the South has ever offered. You are always greeted with a giant smile and if you are lucky enough a great big Texas hug. Being proper Southern-belles, the girls never let you leave without eating some sweets, and that my friend is the perfect shopping experience.
