Battlestar fans, brace yourselves. Bear McCreary, the show's ridiculously talented composer, sat down with us at the House of Blues in San Diego before going on stage for a concert that blew everyone away. Check it out:
HIH's Oscar Rohena couldn't get enough: "Bear took the audience on a musical journey that traveled through many of Battlestar's most memorable moments from every season of the show and beyond. He premiered a track from the upcoming movie, Battlestar Galactica: The Plan and even played a piece from the upcoming prequel series Caprica. Bear made sure to give the fans what they wanted, and that included almost four hours of music, including the tracks "Passacaglia", "Wander My Friends", "Roslin and Adama", "The Dance", and the epic "Prelude to War". He also performed songs from the new Season 4 CD, out July 28, including "Baltar's Cult", and "Kara Remembers". The music was truly memorable and the audience could not get enough."
Then, over at the beautiful Omni Hotel, yours truly had the chance to chat it up with writer-director Mike Dougherty, whose film, Trick R Treat (starring Anna Paquin), finally gets released on DVD this October:
You may remember us reporting on the movie last October at Screamfest. We're totally picking up a copy this fall, just in time for our Halloween pumpkin carving party. And just for the hell of it, here's that must-see trailer again:
