In a statement released yesterday afternoon by Harpo, Inc., Winfrey's production company behind her massive empire, the talk show queen will tell her audience and the world of her show's end on Friday. "The sun will set on the Oprah show as its 25th season draws to a close on September 9, 2011," said the published statement.
Expect one helluva, star-studded finale come 2011. Anyone know if there's a lottery for tickets to that show? What we would give up to secure our asses in those seats...
The time is near, HIHers! Oprah welcomes back the cast of Sex & The City back onto her show TODAY, MAY 1ST, CHECK LOCAL LISTINGS, to talk about the upcoming movie. From the photo above, it looks like little has changed except some crow's feet, but we predict Oprah's audience's cheers will hit audio levels not seen since that damn car was handed out.

Oprah Winfrey's plan for world domination continues.
The Harpo founder/book club lover/talk-show titan announced earlier this week that she is partnering up with Discovery Communications to launch The Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN), a cable platform "designed to entertain, inform and inspire people to live their best lives."
This just adds to the empire O has created for herself. Now she's got the show, the magazine, the film production company and various programming on XM Satellite Radio. When will she stop?
Look for OWN on your cable boxes in mid-2009...Something tells us we'll be seeing a lot of "Oprah Winfrey Presents" movies and Maya Angelou specials on the lineup.
Let's give thanks because not only do we get to stuff ourselves full of Thanksgiving goodies this week, but one of the best events on daytime television happens TODAY. Oprah's Favorite Things 2007. The ads say it all: "The most expensive favorite things special to date". What the HELL can she give away now? Immortality? And how the hell do we get into that studio audience?
Whatever it is you know we'll be watching this HOT mess, the cutaways to the audience freaking out alone is worth it, that and everyone trying to hide their disappointment when she gives away chocolate cake and not another iphone.
