This year's Hot in Hollywood benefit at the Avalon went corn! Yup. At the event, Katherine Heigl, Neil Patrick Harris, America Ferrera - among many, many other hotties - enjoyed California Recycles generously donated corn plastic utensils and 100% all-natural plates made of bamboo, sugar cane pulp, starch and water. All materials are compost-able even the plates are "safe to be eaten by animals." (phew!)

Also, GM (Baylen shudders at the very mention) provided six of their new Chevy Equinox Fuel Cell electric cars (pictured above) to escort the NYC talent to the venue. Good move, GM. You need all the good green PR you can get...Couldn't resist. Just had to throw that in there.

Our exclusive pics are in! Our very own Michael Medico was there on the red carpet to welcome HIH alumni and newbies alike - right before opening the show and introducing host America Ferrera on stage.

Dirty Sexy Money's Candis Cayne unleashed her inner Vegas showgirl and wowed the audience with "13 Men".

Californication's Madeline Zima showed that her boots were indeed made for walkin'...among other things.

Jason Biggs nicely channeled Ed Sullivan.

Gina Ravera (The Closer) hit it out of the park; previous HIH host Jamie Pressly graciously accepted the first-ever HIH Hottie Award for her work with AIDS charities.

Eric Martsolf pleaded for "A Little Less Conversation" while grinding in tight leather pants that would've made Elvis blush.

Emily Deschanel and Eric Millegan traded in their Bones lab coats for some polyester duds in a humorous Sonny and Cher homage (Eric, what happened to your 'stache?).

And there "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" for Hairspray's Elijah Kelley and Dirty Sexy Money's Bellamy Young, who closed the night with a fantastic finale that saw whole cast walk out on stage in front of a huge standing ovation.

HOT IN HOLLYWOOD host America Ferrera opened the third-annual festivities with surprise party crasher Jason Biggs, who walked out on stage looking as if he were auditioning for the role of Edna Turnblatt in Hairspray. Turns out Mr. Biggs was a little late to last year's party (back when America, Eddie Kaye Thomas and Jerry O'Connell opened the show in a hilarious crossdressing number).

We told you it was gonna be hot!

Our 3rd annual event was just that - an EVENT. And a smashing one at that! The roof of Avalon in Hollywood was blown off by the performances that electrified Saturday night. From America Ferrera and Ana Ortiz's "Diamonds Are Forever" duet to Elijah Kelley and Bellamy Young's "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" finale, the show was one non-stop joyride (I should know - I was front and center).

Last year, Hot in Hollywood performer America Ferrera bid on a Toyota Prius and won. This Saturday, the beautiful Ugly Betty star is hosting the third annual charity event!

"I bought a table the first year with friends and had so much fun watching the performances," says Ferrera. "Performing in the second year was an honor and a ton of fun... I can't wait to host this year's event. This is a cause dear to my heart."

Mr. Kelley will lend his voice to the stage in a showstopper that's bound to get everyone on their feet.

That's right...The fabulous Sophina Brown (Shark, Chappelle's Show) will join us again for HIH3! At HIH1, she brought the house down with her fierce rendition of "Proud Mary," and then last year she came back to give us a memorable presentation of our special PSA.
