Hot Bones in Hollywood Hot in Hollywood Benefit by Michael Medico

Emily Deschanel and Eric Millegan from Bones are slated to perform once again at this year's HOT IN HOLLYWOOD BENEFIT on AUGUST 16. Sadly, the duo will not be reprising their "Almost Paradise" number from HIH1, but they've got another campy, little ditty up their sleeve...

Just Announced!!!... Hot in Hollywood will be the beneficiary of Legendary Bingo's 10 Yr Anniversary night! What does this mean? Well... For 10 yrs now Jeffery Bowman has been producing bingo night with a celebrity and a drag queen calling bingo for Charities every Wednesday. So on May 14th at Hamburger Mary's in WeHo, the Hot in Hollywood AIDS benefit will celebrate 10 years of crazy bingo with Jeffery in a one night only show that you will not want to miss. The Mayor of WeHo, John Duran, will even be there to announce May 14th, 2008 as Official Legendary Bingo Day!!

Join Bingo Hostesses The Fabulous Belle Aire, Bridgette of Madison County and Willam (yes, all three!) along with Bingo-boy Jeffery as Hot in Hollywood celebs come out to "call the balls": including EMILY DESCHANEL (Bones), MICHAEL URIE (Ugly Betty), JAMES KYSON LEE (Heroes), MELANIE PAXSON and RACHAEL HARRIS (Notes From The Underbelly), PETER PAIGE (Queer As Folk), EDDIE KAY THOMAS (Til Death), SHAR JACKSON and icluding friends of bingo ROSS THE INTERN (The Tonight Show with Jay Leno) and LISA ANN WALTER (Shall We Dance?). If you've been wanting to support the writers but have not been able to "walk the line"- here's you chance to show your solidarity and laugh yous ass off at the the same time... In reaction to the strike, Nick Kroll (Cavemen) and Kat Foster (Til Death) have decided to pay homage to great moments in television history by staging scenes from such classics as SAVED BY THE BELL, GOLDEN GIRLS, BEVERLY HILLS 90210, DALLAS, SANFORD AND SON etc., alongside an ensemble cast of TVs finest actors and writers. Starring Mary Lynn Rajkskub, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Ana Ortiz, Jerry Minor, The Sklar Bros., David Hornsby, Jessica St. Clair, Seth MacFarlane (Family Guy) Hot in Hollywood Alums Glenn Howerton and Emily Deschanel and other special guests. All proceeds will benefit the Motion Picture and Television Fund, which provides financial assistance to industry members during these challenging times. The Strike Show will incorporate original material by nightly special guest writers, who will compose original sketches (some related to the WGA strike) that will, in the words of the producers, “blow your f***ing mind.”

His show will feature Emmy-winning pianist Richard Callaci and a special guest appearance by Jenna Gavigan (Broadway's Gypsy and TV's "Commander in Chief"). Tickets are only 50 bucks for the show and a 4 course meal! He and Emily Deschanel did the funniest take on "Almost Paradise" at last years Hot in Hollywood. He's sure to put on a good show.

Point- On Point Hot Help by Michael Medico

While Corey was at the Fred Claus premier on Saturday night- Emily Deschanel and I went to "Point Honors... the Arts" for the Point Foundation (after we stopped by an art opening at the Karen Kimmel Gallery in Atwater). It was a fantastic night at the Jim Henson Studios. Point, under the excellent leadership of Jorge Valencia, was honoring ABC for their strong portrayals of the LGBT community (they showed a clip of all of ABC LGBT story lines and it made them look gayer than LOGO!)

Brittany Snow was on hand to give the next honor to Hairspray director Adam Shankman- who was hysterical hopped up in Vicodin from his arm injury.

Highlights were when Host Michael Urie and Ugly Betty co-star Ana Ortiz auctioned off a lunch at the Ivy with Becki Newton and Michael that was neck and neck between two guys so they decided to make it two lunches and sold it to the one guy for his last bid of $9,500 and the other guy for $10,000!!! Also Jenifer Lewis sang the shit outta 'I know where I been" from Hairspray backed by the "New Dimensions". And I'm always geeked when I see Judith Light- who is on the Advisory board of Point. How is it she is always so poised, well spoken, passionate, talented and gorgeous!?
