"Battle in Seattle"Hot "In Development" by Michael Medico

HIH benefit show producer (and good friend), Sam Frankel, just returned from the Toronto International Film Festival with a bidding war over his film, "Battle in Seattle". The studio Insight Films just sold it to THINKFilm ("Battle" was 1 of only 4 film sold at Toronto this year).

"Battle" is the true story of the riots and chaos that ensued when demonstrators successfully stopped the World Trade Organization meetings in Seattle in 1999. "Battle" is Stuart Townsend's directorial debut, and stars longtime girlfriend Charlize Theron, Ray Liotta, Woody Harrelson, Michelle Rodriguez and Andre Benjamin. If you want to catch it before it's released - you can see it (and us) at the Vancouver International Film Festival on October 3rd.
