Hit Girl's out for blood, y'all.
Kick-Ass's Chloe Grace Morentz stars in one of 2010's best horror films, Let Me In, and now you can see what all the buzz is about when it's out on Blu-ray and DVD on Tuesday, February 1.
The period thriller (it takes place in 1983!) also stars Oscar nominee Richard Jenkins and Kodi Smit-McPhee (The Road) as the shy bully victim who befriends his bloodsucking neighbor (Morentz).
HIH managed to catch a preview of the film back at Comic-Con last summer and was immediately drawn to the chilling tone and skilled direction by Cloverfield's Matt Reeves. While we loved the Swedish original, this remake manages to stand on its own and well-deservedly attract an audience hungry for some fresh genre blood.
Three words: car crash sequence.
Then there's Skin.
Based on an incredible true story of family, forgiveness and the celebration of the human spirit, the film recounts Sandra Laing’s (Sophie Okonedo, Hotel Rwanda, The Secret Life of Bees) extraordinary 30-year journey. From rejection to acceptance, betrayal to reconciliation, she struggles to define her place in a changing world – and triumphs against all odds.
Also available on DVD February 1, the uplifting drama also stars Sam Neill and Alice Krige.
