HIH had the pleasure to attend a private screening of Across the Hall, the new thriller directed by our friend Alex Merkin. Starring Mike Vogel, Brittany Murphy and Danny Pino, the film was adapted from Merkin's 2006 critically-acclaimed short, which starred Entourage's Adrian Grenier. The story takes place during one eventful night at the Hotel Riverview, where the lighting adds just the right amount of noir, the staff seems to be friendly, and the guests are full of secrets.
Add a very Hitchcockian score to the mix (coincidentally, the film was shot on the same sound stage as The Birds and Psycho), and you have yourself a nifty little suspenser. Oh, and naturally, there are twists. Stars Brad Greenquist, Natalie Smyka, and Danny Pino.
Check out the trailer HERE.

The cinematograhy is superb and adds to the suspense. Kudos to the DP, Andrew Carranza. Hope to see more of his art in the future...

I thought this movie was excellent. It kept me on the edge of my seat through the whole show. Natalie Smyka who played Anna was definetly someone to watch.
