Today's Gay Gate was a big, er... I mean FABULOUS success! Over 200 people showed up to a gate that normally does not get much attention. Ugly Betty creator Silvio Horta was so sweet to supply us all with Pinkberry, water, Subway sandwiches and a killer playlist. Nia Vardalos was passing out frozen fruit bars (irony noted). Cynthia Watros came early with a fruit platter (ok- we get the "fruit" reference!). And walking the line were straights and gays alike (sadly, no trannies... I think) including Jonathan Tolins, Michael Urie, Ana Ortiz, Liz Feldman, Fay Wolf, Abraham Higginbotham, Will & Grace creators David Kohan & Max Mutchnick, Michael Gans and Richard Register, Howie Skora, Rachel Shelley, Krista Vernoff, Dennis Hensley, David Dean Bottrell, Christian Taylor, and Hot in Hollywood writer Heath Corson, Low Grounds director Simon Veredon and Kiss the Bride writer Ty Lieberman, among MANY others.
